I'm most of the way through adding the cat enemy.
Rather than wait till I finish the H, I may as well upload a version where you can mess around with the character.

It's still a bit janky, but it should be enough of a preview of what enemies will all play like, and how the hitbox thing works.

Also, updates in December won't be at any particular time. I'm more or less taking a break from most work for the rest of the month. I'll work on Lufuclad here and there an upload the H update at some point before the month is over.

  1. Fun character. Is the tumble always going to cost max stamina?

    1. You can kick out of it, so the goal is to never hit the ground without doing something. The tumble itself doesn't cost stamina, unlike the player's dash.

    2. Ohhhhh I see. You can double jump and have kick combo, that's pretty cool.
      So, how do alt characters fit into the game? Is there going to be TF potions or something so you can access new areas with the cat's mobility, mind controlling enemies to do your bidding, a fun alternative experience, or something else?

    3. Dunno yet since there are so many different options for how it could work.
      Initially it will just be a character select, and later as the actual mechanics are implemented it will be fit in somehow in a way that makes sense.

    5. Preferably have the characters you don't currently play as hang around your home so you can eventually build a small town.

    6. Why not divide the child thing in three possible outcomes?

      1) Human / Half-blood give birth to female (father not of same race)
      - Inherit base stats of mother, color palette of father and a small bonus.
      Basically just the main character rebirth / main progression system.

      2) Half blood give birth to female (father of same monster race)
      - Unlock the female ennemy if one is avaiable

      3) Any give birth to male
      - Unlock the male monster (same race as father) as playable character



      How to justify the character changes ingame?
      You go ask them to go on an errand while your character rest at home and can be seen doing a task you assigned her. Just like they do tasks when left alone at home.



      The problem with that would be the number of characters you get in the long run.

      1) Limit the household members max number by house upgrade.
      - If you got too many, abandon one who become a wanderer (named monster)

      - Possibility to get one house/base per biome via a special quest
      - Each base is only upgradable to the number of monsters living in said biome
      (Only the main house have +1 space (your character) or more)
      - Asde of Half-blood, monsters can only live in their natural biome?
      (They can travel when on errands and rest at other houses)


      2) Monster character (both male and female) use their default stat table
      - Only the human/half-blood inherit stats and can progress beyond level up.

      - Only one "mother" and one "child" can be human/halfblood at any given time?
      (or only one half-blood, each "mother" retiring as a permanant NPC for the special progression quest that grant new houses? That could be cute and justify the whole mechanic if each race can live for X generations and you need someone in the houses at all time for them to not fall in an "abandoned" state.)

      3) inactive members can be assigned at a household task
      - No more withered plants because you're away for a month if they water them
      - Small bonus to tasks if the right race is affected to it (dryad in garden)
      - Context specific malus (more time needed / less yeld) if a "wrong" race is used ("mouse crafting cheese but eating some" situation that may come with a cute/funny idle animation, just like when using a race who gives a bonus.)

      - No more familly chest pillaged if there's someone to guard the home
      - Some scenes (shared H-poses) may happen if monsters are interested in who is left at home and your household lose the defense while you're away. (Main character at home pretty much guaranty a win?)




      I may talk about it too seriously since it's more about world building mechanics than kinks and porn, but such additions would make sense and really add to the "persistance" you seems to want in the game. Since you may befriend monsters in the future, that may encourage alternative interactions instead of defeating everything in sight (or hitting enough for them to flee). There's sill a long way to go before such things may (or may not) be implemented but brainstorming never hurts. ^^

    7. Some of the stuff is stuff I plan on implementing.

      When it comes to playing as other characters, I'm still unsure, since character relationships will be a factor, and I don't want the player to be able to manually make another character do things that the character would not normally do because of their stats.

    I like how you can continuously punching enemies while holding > arrow button and spamming attacks.

I also love that you keep the old versions on your site for anyone to download. You are awesome man, do take the rest you need, you totally deserve it!

  4. Her sprites look great, as usual, and she controls pretty good to me. The sommersault is fun, including the failed landing. It just needs more options besides kicking out of it, like pouncing on enemies or bouncing off them.
    The only janky thing I could spot is that she goes ATATATATA with her punches when she has no stamina. How about adding minor knockback to 0 stamina attacks, but making them as slow as fully charged attacks?
    And maybe a run mode instead of parrying.

    1. Her punches gradually get faster as you use them. Even after your stamina restores, she maintains a bit of the speed.

      Even for the player, tired attacks don't have knockback, at least for now.

    2. I thought it was unintentional since having no stamina means you can't charge attacks, so the game doesn't wait as long for you to let go of the key before executing the attack. The main girl's attack does get a little bit slower, that's what confused me. I know she doesn't have any knockback either.
      Now I've tried failing the tumble to get to 0 stamina before doing any punches, and yeah, the first ones are slower. The speed boost lasts about as long as the stamina bar needs to refil. It works as intended then, I just didn't know you already had stat buffs working. Maybe add some feedback to its duration in the future.

  5. I commented in an earlier update the desire to be able to play as a neko girl. This is even better, awesome! Love her sprites and attacks, they handle very well. I'd probably end up maining this character if that's something you can do. Can't wait to see what her H stuff will be like too.

    i found a bug while goofing off which made her take off into the air
    it happened when i landed a kick at the same time a goblin hit me
    she just started floating

    i just got a question, will you be able to transform the main character into a futa in the future?

Now that you have a cross-section for vaginal that can be filled with cum, would you consider doing the same for oral and the stomach (and maybe anal), and then take advantage of that to possibly build mechanics around collecting semen? For example, you could control a kind of succubus-type enemy which would have the ability to recover health by absorbing oral semen. It could help to kit out the role of H in the midst of gameplay.

    To accompany that if that sounds like a good idea, some time down the road it would be cool to be able to influence what kind of H gets chosen. Back to the succubus example, if you lost all your health, you could bait an enemy into performing an oral action which would let you recover enough health to get back into action.

    I'm curious to know what you think about this.

    2. They obviously wouldn't show all the time, just during an applicable sex scene, there's one box we can just swap around what's in it instead of adding more boxes

    3. An oral x-ray'd be more complicated than the current one cause you'd have to have one shot with the mouth and the dick, and another shot with the stomach and the jizz. Unless you meant for the dick to go straight into the stomach or to not show at all.

  14. I just played what there is and there's a lot of potential for this game! Perhaps along the characters journey you can have little shops that the player can enter and buy things like health potions, stamina tuning items, accessories, and various other things. To add on to this, other types of weapons aside from swords would be a nice addition with things like effects, different hitboxes, and even being more effective towards one type of monster than another.

    After i played this game for a COUPLE time, and then this one time i just saw the enemy got hit by a goblin kick and it kinda just flew out of screen, why is that?

    1. Doing misc stuff at the moment, so I'm working on lufu here and there as I go.
      I'm currently programming an annoying level generation thing that I need to get out of the way, so probably not until I finish it.
